Welcome

Hello, my name is Leslie. I have been quilting for the past 13 years.  However, 3 years ago I stopped. We moved to Florida, and my desire to quilt vanished.  It has been a struggle to get projects out to finish them due to the heat.  I have the desire to quilt, but finding the motivation is another story. 

This year, I glanced at my little seeing corner, and saw my laundry basket of strings.  Yes.  It is quite shameful that it has grown that much over the years.  When I started quilting, a wise woman said not to throw out the scraps. Just think how much you paid for the fabric.  I started hoarding my scraps.  I saw string quilts and collected even more.  Next thing I know I have a laundry basket overflowing with scraps. Something has to be done.

Therefore, my New Year's Resolution is to use the scraps in this basket and downsize it by a considerable amount....at least more than half. I am also creating a king size orange peel quilt for my bed.  I created this blog to keep accountable and on track to use up the scraps before 2017.
