The weekend before Thanksgiving, I completed my 4 patch stars quilt by MSQC.
This is one quilt where all the fabrics came from my laundry basket of scraps, minus the Celestial Blue background. Hopefully, this weekend I can purchase some quilt batting and get it sandwiched together. With this quilt, I learned to pin the borders to the quilt before sewing. I did not, and they came out a bit wavy. I'll need to make sure to quilt in a way that it will hide. I am seriously considering tying the quilt as opposed to actually quilting it.
I have also been making some ornaments for our soon to be Christmas tree. I'll be sure to post those when I have them all done.
When Black Friday came, I decided to participate in Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt. These quilts always turn out amazing. They look intimidating, but with the sections being broken down by the week, the tend to be feasible. Here are my color choices.
Since we were out of town, I decided to take the cheater stance on clue one. Instead of making 4 patches, I used 9 different fabrics for my neutrals. I just hope my guessing is correct. If not, I'll just have to back track a bit.

My color choices:
Navy blue=dark purple
Aqua=lavender
Yellow=Green
Orange=yellow
Grey=Background
Raspberry=Magenta
All the fabrics came from my stash, except the Raspberry. I usually purchase from remnant bins throughout the year, and they are never above a yard. I hope to use up most of these fabrics. Right now my fabric cart is near empty, and I am trying to keep my supply low.
